Manual Resolution
Manual Resolution
Manual markets are resolved by admins after reviewing evidence submitted by the community.
The Process
- When a market’s close time passes, the market enters a locked state.
- Creators, bettors, and admins can submit proof with source URLs and a description of the outcome.
- Other users can vote on proof submissions (upvote or downvote) to help surface the most credible evidence.
- An admin reviews the proof and broadcasts a
resolve_marketoperation to finalize the outcome.
Sports Without Auto-Resolution
Sports that aren’t covered by The Odds API (chess, tennis, golf, Formula 1, etc.) use manual resolution. These markets follow the same proof and admin review process.
Who Can Submit Proof?
- Market creators can always submit proof.
- Bettors who have an active prediction on the market can submit proof.
- Admins can always submit proof.
Each proof submission includes a claimed outcome, an explanation, and one or more source URLs. Admins can also request additional proof if existing submissions are insufficient.
