Placing Predictions

How to Place a Prediction

  1. Browse active markets and find one you want to predict on.
  2. Choose your predicted outcome.
  3. Enter your stake amount (up to the market’s per-account cap).
  4. Review the estimated payout shown in the form.
  5. Confirm the transaction in Hive Keychain.

If submitted before the trading cutoff, your tokens are transferred to the pool and your prediction is recorded on-chain. Predictions submitted after cutoff are automatically rejected and refunded.

Custom Token Markets

If a market uses a Hive Engine token (e.g., LEO, SPS) and you don’t have enough, you’ll see your current balance and any shortfall. If you’re signed in with Hive Keychain, the platform will offer to swap HIVE to the required token via dSwap before placing your prediction.

Multiple Predictions

You can place multiple predictions on the same market, even on different sides. Each prediction is tracked independently. Your total stake on a given outcome is subject to the per-account cap.
