How to Create a Market

1. Sign in with Hive Keychain or HiveSigner.
2. Click “Create Market” in the navigation bar.
3. Choose the market type (binary manual, price auto, sports auto/manual, multi-outcome, etc.).
4. Select the token for the market: HIVE, HBD, or any supported Hive Engine token.
5. Fill out the market details: question, category, resolution date, and description.
6. For auto-resolution markets, configure the resolution source (coin and price target for crypto; event and bet type for sports).
7. Choose your side and set your opening bet amount.
8. Confirm the transaction.

Market Type Options

• Yes/No (Manual): binary market resolved by admins with proof
• Price Target (Auto): binary price market, auto-resolved via CoinGecko or Investing.com depending on the selected asset
• Sports: Match Winner (Auto/Manual): pick the winner of a sporting event
• Sports: Spread (Auto/Manual): point spread handicap prediction
• Sports: Total (Auto/Manual): over/under total points
• Sports: Prop (Manual): custom sports proposition
• Multi-Outcome Winner (Manual): multiple outcomes, single winner

Guidelines

• Questions should be clear, specific, and verifiable.
• Set a reasonable resolution date, far enough away for meaningful trading but with a definite outcome.
• Your opening bet is capital at risk, just like any other prediction.
• The opening bet establishes initial odds and seeds the pool.
• For manual markets, you can enable early resolution to allow resolution before the scheduled close.
