Hive Account Setup

You can browse HivePredict markets without signing in. To place predictions, create markets, submit proof, or join market discussions, you need a Hive blockchain account and one of the supported signing methods.

If you are new to Hive, create the account first and keep your keys safe. HivePredict checks account age, reputation, and post history before unlocking predictions or market creation, so creating an account starts the eligibility clock.

Requirements

• Hive account: start at signup.hive.io and choose a registration provider.
• Account age: at least 90 days old.
• Reputation: minimum 25.
• Post history: at least 5 posts.
• Signing method: Hive Keychain or HiveSigner.

Authentication Methods

Hive Keychain (Recommended)

A browser extension that securely stores your Hive keys. Install it from the Hive Keychain website, then sign in by entering your Hive username and signing a message. Hive Keychain is required for dSwap token swaps.

HiveSigner

An OAuth-based authentication service. Click “Continue to HiveSigner” and authorise the app. No browser extension needed.
