To participate in HivePredict markets, your Hive account must meet the following minimum requirements:
Account age
90 days or older
Reputation
25 or higher
Post count
5 or more
Why These Requirements?
Eligibility requirements exist to prevent sybil attacks. Without them, a malicious actor could create many accounts to bypass per-market stake caps and manipulate outcomes. The requirements ensure that participants have an established presence on the Hive blockchain.
Checking Your Eligibility
When you sign in, HivePredict automatically checks your account against these requirements. If your account does not meet the criteria, you will be notified and will not be able to place predictions.
