Your First Prediction

Step by Step

  1. Sign in: click “Sign in with Hive” in the top right and authenticate with Hive Keychain or HiveSigner.
  2. Check eligibility: HivePredict checks your account age, reputation, and post history before allowing predictions.
  3. Browse markets: go to the Markets page and find an active market that interests you.
  4. Choose your side: click on the market to view details, then select your predicted outcome.
  5. Enter your stake: type the amount you want to stake (up to the per-account cap). If the market uses a Hive Engine token you don’t have, you’ll be offered an automatic dSwap from HIVE.
  6. Confirm: approve the transaction in Hive Keychain. Your tokens are transferred to the market pool.
  7. Wait for resolution: when the outcome is determined, winners automatically receive their payouts.

Tips

  • Start with a small stake to learn how the system works.
  • Check the estimated payout shown before confirming. It updates as you type.
  • In crypto markets, earlier predictions receive better profit-share weighting.
  • You can view your active predictions on your profile page.
